DCC Industry Group is proud to be named a finalist in the QCOSS Human Rights Awards.
This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting children, young people, adults, carers, and families through person-centred, culturally safe, and trauma-informed care.
Under the leadership of Deejay Egan, a proud First Nations leader, DCC continues to walk alongside communities across Residential Care, Foster and Kinship Care, Allied Health, Disability Services, Labour Hire, Youth Justice, and Early Intervention.
Advancing Human Rights Through Community-Led Support
At DCC, human rights are embedded in the way we deliver services every day. This includes supporting:
- The right to culture, identity, and connection to Country
- The right to safety, belonging, and connection to Mob
- Accessible health, disability, and wellbeing supports
- Access to education, employment, and meaningful opportunities
- Dignity, choice, self-determination, and freedom from discrimination
Our approach places people at the centre of decision-making, ensuring individuals, families, and communities have a voice in the supports and services they receive.
A Recognition Shared With Community
While this recognition highlights the work of DCC Industry Group, it belongs to the many people who make our impact possible.
We extend our gratitude to the Traditional Owners who continue to welcome us onto Country, as well as our participants, carers, families, community partners, and dedicated team members. Your trust, knowledge, and commitment help create meaningful change and strengthen the human rights outcomes we work towards every day.
This recognition is not just about one person, nor is it solely about DCC. It is a reflection of the power of community and what can be achieved when people come together with a shared commitment to dignity, inclusion, and opportunity for all.
Looking Ahead
Being named a QCOSS Human Rights Award finalist is a proud milestone, but it is also a reminder that there is more work to do. We remain committed to walking alongside communities, advocating for equity and inclusion, and creating opportunities that empower people to thrive.
We are honoured by this recognition and look forward to continuing this journey together.
