From DCC Industry group: a massive thank you to the Queensland Department of Trade, Employment and Training for hosting their first-ever event dedicated to strengthening capacity for First Nations employment and training.
The DCC team, including Viktor Litvin, Ann Collins, and CEO Deejay Egan, were honoured to be invited to attend. We were especially proud to have Deejay contribute to the panel, sharing insights on the importance of culture in the workforce and DCC’s commitment to supporting and developing our First Nations staff while fostering a safe, inclusive culture across the organisation.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) development, hear about best-practice employer initiatives, and connect with organisations achieving positive outcomes in First Nations employment and training.
As part of Indigenous Business Month, it was inspiring to see so many people come together to share knowledge, celebrate success, and strengthen pathways for First Nations peoples in the workforce.
A huge thank you to Gail Russell and the entire Queensland Department of Trade, Employment and Training team for making this important event possible.
